Our Process

At RestoShack, we’ve built our workshop around one thing: the restoration process.

Whether it’s a full nut-and-bolt restoration, a major rebuild, or smaller repair and improvement work, our purpose-designed facility, experienced team, and trusted network of local and national specialists allow us to support every stage of your project.

Initial Contact

Get in touch with us via our website, email, by calling the workshop, or by visiting us in person to discuss your project. We’re always happy to talk through your ideas and requirements.

Project Information

Provide us with photos or videos of the vehicle, highlighting any areas of concern along with its overall condition.

Please also include:

  • A brief description of the car
  • What you believe requires attention
  • Any changes you would like (e.g. colour, engine, interior)
  • Your end goal — whether that’s a reliable daily driver or a show-level example of the model

This information allows us to fully understand your vision.

Estimate & Planning

Using the details provided, we will produce a detailed estimate, broken down into key stages such as:

  • Disassembly
  • Metalwork
  • Bodywork & paint
  • Assembly

This forms the working budget and framework for your restoration.

The Build Process

Once the estimate and timeframe are approved, your project is scheduled into our workshop.

Throughout the build:

  • You will receive regular updates via our dedicated workshop app
  • A personal account will be created for your vehicle
  • Photo and video progress updates will be uploaded
  • Time tracking is logged transparently

You are welcome to share access with friends and family to follow the build.

We actively encourage visits to the workshop and maintain open, consistent communication throughout — this is a key part of our process.

Completion & Handover

Once all work is completed to your specification, the vehicle is fully road tested and prepared for collection.

From there, it’s time to enjoy your finished car.

We remain on hand for any initial teething issues and recommend annual servicing with us to keep the vehicle performing at its best.
